Layout Variations
Emergency Loan
This loan is eligible for all share holders of the society to a maximum of Twenty Five Thousand on production of salary slip of the last month. The repayment will be done within eighteen months from the date of sanctioning of the loan. For defaulters the amount will be repaid through salary cutting. Forms will be available in the office on all working days.
History
Society has been registered in 02-06-1999 under Kerala Co-Operative society Act 1960 and affiliated to District co- operative Bank Thiruvanathapuram. Started its office functioning in a single room at Kuravankonam. Later in 2004 the office has been shifted to the ground floor of IHRD headquarters at Vazhuthacaud. The office functioning at headquarters was inaugurated by The Hon’ble Education Minister Nalakath Soopy in a colorful function on 26-08-2004 in the presence of Assistant Register of Department of Co-operation Govt of Kerala.
Apart from being a society working for the welfare of the employees in IHRD, it undertook earnest steps to help the poor and needy students in IHRD institutions by providing uniform materials and study materials at free of cost.
For mention a few number of services, the society has already been undertaken service like ordinary loan upto Three lakhs with simple repayment conditions and Emergency loan to the maximum of ten thousand (Rs.10,000/-) with reasonable interest rate without any hidden charges. Risk fund facility has been introduced from 2008 onwards to facilitate loanee to help their family members in the event of casualty. It is proud to announce that two of our members have already been the beneficiaries of this scheme within this time.
Society is governed by the Board of Directors consisting of President, Vice- president, Secretary and eight other members. Annual audit will be conducted at the end of each year and it has been completed upto 2014. It is a great proud for the members as well as the board that for the last five years society was in profit. In 2014-15 dividend has been issued at the rate of Rs.35 per share for all share holders.
On the current activities society has announced monthly deposit scheme (MDS) of the denominations:
Rs.4000 X 25 months = Rs.100000
Rs.2500 X 40 months = Rs.100000
Rs.2000 X 50 months = Rs.100000
Rs.1000X 50 months = Rs.50000
Furthermore recurring deposit (RD) scheme will be started very soon to cater the needs of all categories of employees in IHRD institutions. Attractive annual interest rate has been fixed for fixed deposit (FD) for different periods from the minimum of 16 days to a maximum of one year and above.
At the beginning of every academic year society supplies uniform materials and lab coats of reputed firms to all students admitted in institutions under IHRD at subsided rate. Record books, text books, stationery items, exam sheets, answer books and additional sheets are supplied at the door of each and every institutions on demand basis at competitive price.
Objectives
Society is functioning with the aim of nurturing the unity and prosperity among all categories of employees in IHRD and to build a strong fraternity irrespective of any social economical barriers. The sangam (society) has been taken active steps to start a number of proposals so as to achieve higher level of standard of living of our community both in economic and social front. Fixed Deposit, Recurring Deposit and Monthly Deposit Scheme are remarkable schemes to enable our members to achieve more economic stability in this direction we promote the slogan“പലതുള്ളി പെരുവെള്ളം” and accept it as our motto “സംഘത്തില് നിക്ഷേപിക്കൂ…! സംഘത്തോടൊപ്പം വളരൂ…!”

Society is governed by the Board of Directors consisting of president, Vice- president, Secretary and eight other members. Society is governed by elected board comprising nine members called director board members and three officers’ bearers- The President, The Vice President and The Secretary for a period of five years.

Working Hour
The office will be open on all working days except the government holidays and the days on which holiday declared by the authority. The working hours will be 10am to 5pm. The money transactions will be limited from 10 am to 3 pm on all days except on Saturdays. In Saturdays it will be from 10am to 12 noon.
